Internships

What is an internship?

Why are internships important?

Internships give students the opportunity to gain career experience in a field of their interest. Things like GPA, or even a degree or certificate alone aren't always enough to get the job you want. Employers want experience too! Be competitive by learning employability skills and sharpen the technical skills you are learning in the classroom by participating in an internship.

  • Development of "soft" skills (employability) and technical skills

  • Learn what you like

  • Learn what you DON'T like (before you invest in further education or time!)

  • Network, network, network! It's an understatement how important this can be!

  • Student's that are of legal working age

  • Recent graduates or currently enrolled students at TBCC

  • Current high school students or recent graduates

  • Employers can determine age and other requirements for their internship opportunities

  1. Complete your Student Profile

  2. Get notified for new internship postings

An internship is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student's field of study or career interests. An internship gives a student the opportunity for career exploration and development, and to learn new skills.
